Can this be the reason for being suspended?

I listed a 700$ item on ebay (only listed the item didn't sell). Two days later I get permanently limited on Paypal. Ebay is still standing. Could this item be the reason I got limited?

I can't think of any other reason, my activity has been the same exact routine for the past 5 months and never had a problem. It also doesn't makes sense to be banned from Paypal before Ebay.




The message I got is the following:

You can't use PayPal anymore
At PayPal, we value a safe community for our customers to do business. We noticed activity in your account that’s inconsistent with our User Agreement and we no longer offer you PayPal services.

Any bank or credit card information linked to your PayPal account cannot be removed nor can it be used to create a new account. You can still log in and see your account information but you can’t send or receive money. Any money in your balance will be held for 180 days, after which we’ll send you an email with instructions about transferring your money.

This happens when you list expensive and hot items on ebay before maturing your account. Sometimes the limitation hits your account immediately after sale and sometimes even before it sells.

Looks like ebay sends signals to paypal that this user is trying to receive a high payment which may result in paypal limitation.

Thanks for the answer. So I guess that was the reason afterall.
Do you have any tips how to mature an account to sell 700$ - 800$ items?
Most of the items I sell regularly are about 40$ and very rarely 200-300$. I can't do progressive increments from there to 800$ because I have nothing to sell in this price range. Do you know if its necessary to sell the items, or can I just slowly list higher prices?

If you have any tips please let me know, I'd really appreciate it. I don't want to lose other accounts over this.
