ebay wants ID card, credit card statement and drivers license ...to process a refund?
i finally got eBay to agree to refund me around $200 in credits i have on the legit, but suspended account. however ...yep, there's a however, they want me to provide their trust&safety department with a copy of my:
- id card
- credit card statement
- drivers license
..in order to refund me that amount. guess what reason they gave for it? they need to 'verify' that it is indeed me requesting the refund. yeah right, like i'm logging into someone's suspended account and requesting them to get a refund. they have my card on file, so it shouldnt be so difficult to issue a refund, right? i wonder if it isn't against visa/mastercard regulations to request all that information to process a refund.
either way, i wrote them back that i will not send them all that information over fax and i would expect the refund by next week, otherwise they would receive a chargeback and then they could see for themselves that it is indeed me :D
