Default Starting multiple ebay accounts LIMITED COMPANY AND HMRC

So how would you get around this.

I have one account [ account 1] opened under the limited company[abc ltd]. I feel like I have a silent limit.
I have read the book but feel this query is not answered , so help on this will be greatly appreciated so i can proceed.
----------------------------------
example :
my current account is set out like this
ebay name :abc ltd

paypal name : my personal name
under business info : abc ltd
bank: abc ltd
-------------------------------
i want to open account 2. would this be the current layout ?
ebay name : friend name

paypal name : friend name
under business info : friend name [ dont tell paypal it is a ltd same as abc ltd]
bank : friend name
-----------

then just declare the sales onto abc ltd companies VAT return and tax calculation for tax purposes..

is any one else dealing with LIMITED companies like this ?

the concern I have is if the invoices are on my friends name for ebay , declaring them to HMRC for ABC ltd maybe an issue....

One advice I have been given is to have ebay store in anyones name but to simply have "trading under abc ltd" on the invoice.

but the VAT number would be the same.

i have been on :

my ebay >>> account tab >>> site preferences >>>> business seller preferences

when I have gone to "show vat on my receipts" it shows my VAT number , so ebay does have my VAT number.

I could do it on someones name , however I believe I will hit the £70k threshold for VAT pretty soon as the category I am in is high volume and low margins.

Is registering for a new VAT registered company the only option ?

is anyone else in a similar situation.

The VAT Threshold isn't 70K.

This thread makes no sense.

If you are currently VAT registered why are you worried about hitting the VAT threshold ? You are already paying VAT right ?

I don't think its that confusing.

He wants to run multiple accounts using the same VAT number.

OP is confused, that much is clear, I guess we'll have to wait for clarification.
Yes the VAT Threshold on accounts that he dosent have a VAT number for, i.e running multiple accounts.

But yes, its not entirely clear, however I get a feeling we won't be getting any more info!

OP says he feels there's a silent limit on his account.
For me, that was the reason I cam to Aspkin in the first place too. My main account is still alive but I just feel it's cursed with some sort of silent limit.

Hi , sorry for the late reply and confusing post. I have been awaititng getting my new phone/laptop/tethering sim card which I all have now ready to go .

the purpose of my post is answered in the second sentence.

I feel like I have a "silent limit" on ebay . This theory will only be proven if I open up multiple accounts.

simply put :

can you have 2 accounts with the same VAT number without them being linked by ebay.

lets not get into petty details of "vat limit is 70k or 83k" it could be £100k and I will hit that in a short space of time. i am happy paying VAT , not trying to dodge it.

my concern is ebay linking two accounts together with the same VAT number.

as if they do , then i need to set up a new ltd company , new vat number ......

hope that clears matters

Your concern is linking 2 accounts to same vat, ie so you can run 2 accounts and not link them,, but one vat numner to 2 accounts - if account is not in same name the vat number I dont think would add. As if you read previous posts last year ebay restricted selling on many accounts who were near vat threshold or over and due to them being stealth there wasnt a way round getting a vat number so accounts were toast.
