Amazon UPS Next day air delivered late

Has anyone been through this? I sent a package using buy shipping and used next day air, and of course the package was delayed. I contacted Amazon for a refund, "we see the label has been canceled, hence please allow this to cancel and a refund will be issued". damnit amazon! I had to cancel my original label because I picked fedex by mistake.

I forget because its been along time, but amazon refunds you correct? Or do you have to go through UPS?
