Activity: 0% Longevity: 45% | | Vanilla Visa Not Working For Paypal
Hi everyone,
just wanted to ask if this is a new thing with paypal starting to not allow vanilla visa gift cards to be added to the account? I have a 2 year old account that actually had 4 of these previously added but when I tried to add a new one, I keep getting the "cannot process this request, please try again later" message. Does anyone know of any other prepaid cards that are working as of today?
Any assistance appreciated.

There may be some confusion as to the exact terminology being used. As far as I know, the non-reloadable Vanilla Visa cards that have always worked, still do.
There is zero discussion here, much less "loads of threads" being "discussed at length" about these cards being "dead."
If the OP is referring to the reloadables or some other kind of Vanilla Visa cards, that might be causing certain folks to think they aren't working or whatever.
If anybody has any legitimate information about non-reloadable Vanilla Visa cards (that are discussed in the stealth guide) suddenly not working, do feel free to comment here. And if there are any actual threads that exist discussing it, kindly paste an actual link.

Haven't found any except the one thread that was posted in like 2013 or something like that.
But just to clarify, I am speaking about Vanillavisa prepaid cards and not the reloadable ones. I'd sure like to know which ones are working, but it seems that no one seems to know.

Not sure if its just my account that this seems to be happening to or if this is a new thing. I may just have to carry out my own experiments with this to know for sure seeing that no one seems to have much info about it.

I just set up with one card and one bank account and I've never needed to add additional cards....Either way, hopefully you get it figured out......

Helps in building up the account.

Having the same problem with a different kind of card that previously worked. It's not a vanilla- it's a card that a grocery chain sells that is the same thing as vanilla but this chain's own thing. A few years ago, eBay blocked the BIN on these cards but when they came out with new ones they worked again. All I use the cards for now a days is paying eBay fees since some of my accounts won't allow the fees to be paid by my attached bank. So I just added to my eBay account and my automatic payment method is directly through them now by this card... So not a big problem for me as long as eBay accepts them.

Using Vanilla Visa $25 Gift Card, non reloadable. I added it to my PP normal and it shows up as prepaid visa but, PP still asks to link a credit or debit card at the main summary screen. not sure if it verified or not cuz all other links like to confirm email, bank, and number went away, but only one it says still is to add a card

Any assistance appreciated. | PayPal has flagged your IP or account for fraud, that's what that kind of message means.

I think both Ebay and Paypal are moving to phase out vanilla cards, you need a card registered in your name and address,

Does anyone have a workaround for this?
Can you set up the PayPal with bank and link that with eBay to allow listing of items on ebay or is that dead also?
How can you even get around this at all?
