is anyone have any idea how amazon's "compare to similar item" work?

how do you put your listing into that comparing box?

it seem like this is a new way of advertising your product without burning your PPC

please let me know if anyone have any information about it

if you scroll down, you will see a box that said "Compare with similar items"

i understand we have no control on it. but if we have enough aged buyer account, and try to "add cart" of our items + popular items, do you think amazon will link them together?
