Default PayPal authorization for paying Ebay fees no longer valid

One of my accounts (a couple of months old) has gotten a message from Ebay stating:
"Your authorization for paying Ebay fees using PayPal is no longer valid. Your PayPal information has been removed as automatic payment method on Ebay"
I have read other posts recently stating others are having difficulty in linking PayPal account to Ebay upon listing a first item on a new account, but never heard of PayPal "voiding" an existing payment agreement. Both Ebay and PayPal accounts are still in great shape, no limitations or restrictions other than the fact that I cannot revise or add a new listing to Ebay as there is no longer automatic payments set up. Has anyone ever seen this? Any advice on what my next move is?

Was the account made in the beginning of summer?

I'm asking because I have some new ones from around that time and still no problems of them taking money out from the PP accounts.

Account were made in June, same details on both. Had to link PayPal account for seller fees when listing first item and it went smoothly. Sold a dozen or so items since. Automatic payment of Ebay fees taken out of PayPal balance last month no problem. This month Ebay cannot collect fees as PayPal voided agreement. (Easy fix as I just made one time payment through Ebay) I just never heard of this problem.
Update: I just listed an item and was directed to "add an automatic payment method " as if it's a brand new seller account and it went through PayPal flawlessly (unlike this morning when it just popped up "try again later". Same agreement I accepted preciously that they voided, same verified account, same procedure from a couple of months ago. Curious if this was a glitch, or a sign of something PayPal is purposely doing for reasons only they can know.
