Default Paypal will suspend you if ebay does?

I am trying to clarify something. If you ebay account gets suspended, paypal will then limit your account?

I know there have been some instances usually with designer clothes that it seems like paypal and ebay talk to each other.

However from what I have read, it seems like if your ebay account gets suspended, paypal will limit your account also?

Is this the case? That would be crazy.

I think Paypal gets involved only if the reason for ebay suspension may leave some buyers with potential claims. Like selling knocloffs, or Goods-Not-Recived types of things.
If buyers complain, then paypal needs to use your funds to compensate them , plus the costs of performing this reconcilliation.

If you were suspended from ebay for a benign reason, like buying/selling too many penny auctions on a new account, or abusively listing in wrong categories, then PayPal may not be affected, since there are no potential losses for buyers to speak of.

Now if your eBay suspension is for a benign reason, BUT investigation with Paypal cross-referencing reveals false information on the PayPal account, the you may get your PayPal blocked big time, since that would be financial fraud, and potentially punishable with jail time.

If anyone has a different take on this, please speak

I had my account suspended for selling perfectly good items.
I was then sent an email from Pay Pal 2 days later stating that my account was suspended for 180 days.
There were no charge-backs,buyer claims filed against my account.
When i contacted them, they told me that i violated the user agreement, same as Ebay.
So i will say, based on my personal experience, that you can have both suspended.
Pay Pal and Ebay don't talk to each other,Ebay owns pay pal.
Bunch of crap.

I Agree With Bigpapa! Its All A Bunch Of Crap. They Do Work Hand In Hand. I Have Had Several Ebay Accounts And Paypal Accounts In Past Times Where One Was Limited Or Suspended And The Other One Follows Suite! I Hate Paypal I Wont Use Them. Its A Shame Though That Ebay Is So Radical Not To Allow Other Payment Services Like Google Checkout. Which I Use For Most Payment Methods Of Auctions And Such. But Well The Competion Is Dirty Now A Days!
