Default Asking to Opt IN Managed Payments?

Anyone actually have success asking eBay to OPT IN managed payments?

I am about to recover my old account from 2010 by paying the past due fee and just going real with eBay. I know what works and what doesn't so I don't anticipate to ever get suspended again.

I know general customer service does nothing but I think I can convince merchant customer service to help. I don't know if I can recover my old PayPal too so I really want to opt in this instead to bypass PayPal...

Plenty of people here have successfully opted in now, including myself on one account. It's not very hard to get in (the first time, at least) and it's somewhat cool.

How did you opt in? Did you have to call? I am working off the knowledge I am not currently on that invitation list...

No I didn't have to call. For accounts that are invited in, it's just a matter of clicking "apply now" and filling out an online application. It's invite only at this point so if you haven't been invited it's not something you need to worry about, yet.

So far it's threatening stealth because they ask for personal info and business info (meaning, SSN + EIN) but at least one member (yankee) has multiple accounts in already. There will be ways forward but it's going to change a lot of things once they make it final.

There are pros and cons,
some sellers dont want to see a daily, weekly, monthly deposit, they want to transfer when they want to,not when Ebay is ready.
Some dont want their money to go to their bank, they want a check or transfer to a debit card, some dont have a bank.
Some want to use their Paypal fund via their Paypal debit card, which gives them 1% cash rebate(1 1.2% for legacy account) .
Some just want their money in their account forever until they die !!!!!!!!!!!
But looks like soon we dont have a choice. but Paypal may come up with something, never underestimate Paypal

My point was I WANT to opt in to the payments because I know I can fix my eBay account not sure still about PayPal. If this is a real account, using my social is no big deal. This way I don’t have to try and fix my suspended PayPal account which I think will be harder.

I’m thinking if I talk to the right person on phone support with merchant accounts I can convince them to let me try it. Everything is possible with merchant support, they have all the power

Same reasons I wanted to get managed payment invite. It is a fresh start with all real info.
Managed payments now for 2 months or so and no problems thus far.

WARNING EBAY LINK
https://pages.ebay.com/seller-center...s-on-ebay.html

About halfway down the page click the "express your interest" button. Not sure if it still works but as of a month ago that was the only way to try and join MP without an invite. I never tried it myself, but let us know if it works for you.

Are you not on managed payments?
If not might wanna wait a bit. Something is happening at eBay and sellers are not getting deposits. Some are but many are not
They need to get it fixed soon. Starting to feel it more

I went to re opt in on the account I opted in on previously and I can set it up now as if I got the invite. I never got an email from them saying I was able to sign up, but I can now. I went ahead and sent a request to opt in on all of my other accounts. I'm so sick of paypals crap.

I didn't get the invite but when I went to register anyway it let me or at least get to the first few pages but I keep chickening out. I can't figure out if I should choose personal and just give all my real info or business. I actually cancelled my business LLC right after I signed up with Paypal so on the State site it shows that I had an LLC and then cancelled it the same day. Would it still take on Ayden?

Which should I choose, personal or business? I only make about $80,000 including shipping on ebay a year....half what I used to make and doing the exact same thing...same number of sales but people will only pay half now for used clothes. It's come to the point where I can't figure out how to make enough money to make my bills working 24-7 anymore. I've been ebaying for 20 years since they started so being out of the work force for so long...not good.

I received invite and signed up for managed payments
I did personal account and used my real info.
Under my real info I have a suspended eBay account and PayPal account.
I had no issues to date with using my real info for managed payments.

Do you think you will have to upgrade to a business account on Ayden after you sell 200/$20,000 since you signed up for a personal Ayden? No wonder everyone here seems to love Ayden. You get to use your real info again and start over. Like coming home after 20 years of being lost.

It was a fresh start.
I am hoping I can leave as is and keep personal account.
I am already over the 200 sales and becoming close to the 20,000.00.
I will see soon I guess.
I do have an ein. Did not use it yet tho.
Not sure if I will have to use it and do worry if I do have to upgrade they will check public records for the business. As of now I just have ein. Have not established what's needed for a business account.

So you used an eBay Stealth account with stealth info, but when you signed up for manged payments you put in your real information?
