Default Customs fees for buyer

Hi everyone, please I need some advise for international shipping, I am based in UK and now is the first time that I am trying to sell from Tunisia (in holidays). Please if I decide to sell from cheaper country as the living cost is so low in comparison with UK, I see now less traffic in my listings, I see there is customs fees for buyers to pay, is there any tip around the customs fees when I don’t sell from UK? Thanks for any tips

first please change your flag to Tunisia so we don't give you the wrong advice in the future.

I don't see around custom export fees. Is the fee really that high?

I am based in UK, i am just in holiday now, is like a probation for me now, but to be resident in cheaper country and sell from there is my goal, why I am asking because I see less traffic in my listings, maybe the customs fees are the reason, how much would cost the customs fees normally let’s say price range between £30-£150?

Have you tried making listings on .co.uk while using that account?

I'm asking because I can use an account from any country and make listings on ".com" and it'll look like I'm a USA seller regardless of what country account I'm using.

Yes I am listing in co.uk.
The question is when I send the item from Tunisia, the buyer will pay customs fees because the item is from outside European Union. And I observe now less traffic in my listings, I would like to have the same traffic intensity with this objection

I don't see any way of getting around that since the added customs fees are probably what's driving buyers away from your listings.

Is your item location set to Tunisia? If so, I guess you could lie and say your item is located within the EU. But that would probably have a negative impact. Because then eBay wouldn't tell your buyers to expect customs fees and your buyers wouldn't find out about them until their orders come into UK.

Maybe some UK guys will have some clever solutions, but that's all I've got.

There is no way around it,at one time,UK buyers would set up a charitable organisation and get items duty free, not sure if it is still valid today.
