IP Burger recommends SOCKS vs 24VC fronds upon SOCKS

24VC doesn't provide SOCKS. That was their response when i requested SOCKS for their Fresh IP

"We unfortunately do not provide SOCKS service. SOCKS are proxies and we advise against using proxies because ebay/paypal can much easier spot proxies versus vpns, so even though you might not have any issues at first, down the line it can cause issues with your accounts."

However IP Burger recommends SOCKS, because they recommend the use of IP Burger Firefox Extension for Ebay/PayPal Accounts which uses SOCKS. Here was their response when i asked them to use VPN vs Firefox Extension which uses SOCKS

so who is right 24vc or IP Burger? Seems like the 2 providers ever body talk about here in this forum have completely different opinion on using SOCKS for Business Accounts (Ebay/PayPal)

Well you need to factor into the equation IPBurger is recommending SOCKS because they have a firefox extension to go hand in hand.

24VC doesn't have such an extension (as far as I am aware), hence why they don't provide it.

You're basically comparing apples to oranges here.

Yes, 24VC doesn't have such extension, but based on your knowledge do you think SOCKS is more easily spotted by PayPal as suggested by 24VC?

I've personally used proxies without issues. But there are a lot of parameters you need to ensure are in place.

If it concerns you so much, just dont use it.
