Default Creating your own buffer between eBay and Paypal?

Can I just set up a page on some web host, and tell everyone to go to that page to checkout in the auction description? I could do some screen scraping or something to get all the auctions won by a username and the total amount. Then I could make a Paypal button for that amount with some other description other than "eBay Payment."

That should work, right? CartManager is kinda lame. It at least emails the winning bidder, but it's expensive.

I'm assuming this is an old suspended PayPal account?

It's probably best to go with Google Checkout if you were to do this.

Though I'm not sure how successful it would be for you.. maybe if you make your site look like eBay.. and have people continue to checkout that way, it could work.. but if your site looks scammy you won't have much luck.

It's partly to use with a suspended Paypal account, but the reason I thought I of was because my site doesn't use CartManager, but I use eProcessingNetwork for credit card transactions. I don't want to use CartManager for my site, and it's fairly expensive just for handling eBay transactions. Currently, Auctiva only supports Authroize.net.

I figured if my site lets people checkout with eProcessingNetwork and Paypal, that I could just do the little "Click Here to Checkout" button in my auction description, like CartManager does, and then tie that into my site. That wouldn't cost me anything, and it would allow all the bidders who win auctions and then refuse to pay since Paypal isn't a choice to still use Paypal.
