Default Paypal dispute, refund initiated from my bank account?

Ok so this is what happend, I received a payment from a buyer for $600, then for some reason he changed his mind and filed a not as received dispute within minutes.. of course this limited my account and they put a temporary hold on the payment. So I just initiated a full refund to him, and now paypal is trying to withdraw the money from my bank account wtf??? I dont understand this process, why don't they just reverse the money he sent? why is paypal taking the money out of my bank account? anyone can shed some light on this?

because that payment is on hold so you do not have enough balance in PayPal for refund ?

What?!?! They should just refund the buyers payment. Are you certain it is the buyers payment that was held? did you try to make a withdrawl and maybe they are reversing that?

This happened to me yesterday, I sold something for $425.00 , the buyer freaked out bc he hadnt recieved it ( in TWO days) , and I didnt respond to his email with the time he though I should have (like 4 hours lol ) so he file a not recieved dispute. Luckily my transfer had already been completed , but my PP account is only negative , not limited... I just get the FYI you owe us money thing when I log in.

Im not sure what is going on , you may need to give them a call...

If you give them a refund, you are giving paypal permission to take funds from your bank account in order to give the buyer his/her money back. But if they file a claim and you do nothing about it, I don't believe they take the money from your bank account. It just puts your account into the negative.

Then your bank should stop it. Tell them it is unauthorized, IF you have never took money FROM your bank and put it in paypal, or paid fees with your bank. Tell them you didnt authorize the payment and they will block Paypal from taking money again.

Not sure how that affects the future deposits from Paypal though... anyone know ?
