Activity: 0% Longevity: 51% | | PayPal Bull**** Again
Ok well everything was going well and I received an email yesterday saying PayPal sent me a message, so I went to read this message and PayPal wants to make sure I can fulfill my orders even tho all my orders are 2 day shipping and all my orders have been delivered and shipped, so they have limited my account, I can still sell but they are holding all my funds which I don't know why I kept 7000.00 in my PayPal I should of known better.
But what PayPal wants is my supplier info, and invoices of my orders from my supplier, I don't know why, PayPal has never asked for this information in any other account, I do have an LLC business on this account not sure if that has anything to do with it.
Any info on this crap that PayPal is pulling would be appreciated

Did you have a sudden spike in sales?
This type of document request is usually because your sales volume spiked higher than the average payment volume you usually process, and Paypal is worried about your ability to fulfill orders.
Is there a reason why you wouldn't be able to provide your supplier info and a couple of recent invoices?

This is not CRAP,Paypal is doing this to most sellers ,those who sell in high risk categories, who sell the same items over and over again, exceeding a certain volume in quantity and dollars!

I actually did have a spike in sales last week, but no bigger spike then I had at Christmas, I should not have to much of an issue with invoices it's all my suppliers info is another story, but I'm working on this just wondering why this came up especially when all my orders are shipped

Paypal conduct merchant reviews throughout the year. It's a lottery. No different than the IRS or HMRC checking that you are filing your accounts correctly.

Covid-19 could be a factor since a lot of sellers are struggling to stay stocked right now.
Regardless, the spike in sales led to the document request and you'll need to deal with the document request one way or another.

As stated in previous replies on this thread, it's your spike in sales. Everyone spikes at Christmas, but this is slow and steady season.

Same here. Never had a problem. 21 years and 100% positive feedback, all items ever sold show delivered. I had a huge spike this week and made $6,000. They limited my account, and they want both suppliers and receipts for everything I've sold in the last six months.
They've got $6,000 of my money that I can't access. I have hundreds of boxes to ship, but many of them won't ship without access to the cash to pay for shipping. It's a catch 22.
They think they're being safe and protecting the buyer, but they're just holding up business and the shipments to the buyers.
All orders that have come in since the limitation are no subject to an additional 7 day hold. I've sent then my documents, but they're moving at a snails pace.

Yep... it's easy to spike right now as inventories are at an all-time low with China being down and out for nearly the entire month of February. (With less competition, they're flocking to you) The best way to stay slow and steady is to raise prices...considerably, as buyers are starting to pay crazy money for stuff that I sold at half the price just a few months ago.

It has nothing to do with your credit or creditors. 5 out of six sellers I've talked to have had this happen to them this week.
PayPal lends money in the overnight repo market and also invests money on the balance sheet to earn interest. I think they list their a** in the market with the major market downturn this week and they aren't liquid to make they payout to everyone.
Think of a bank run. When too many people want their money at once and the bank has lent it out and doesnt have the cash to pay everyone, the bank goes bankrupt overnight.
Lookup fractional reserve lending and you'll understand why the bank backing paypal is holding everyone's money.

My first question is "Why you leave 6k on your paypal??" SMH...Thats a NO NO...They are messing with everybody...Seems like since they bout to lose a lot of sellers to ebay Managed Payments, they are doing this to everybody...I got 3 in one day. All stealth accounts. I used to be worried about ebay killin my accounts but its paypal doing it now. If you cant supply all the info, your paypal account is fried and you have to wait 180 days to get your money...Stop leaving large amounts on your accounts U never know
