Are addresses ever really banned?

It seems illogical for them to ban addresses as people do move a lot and a new Etsy shop owner may move in to the “banned” address....thoughts?

No, they are never banned. The amount of times I’ve used the same addresses I’ve lost count.

I am curious about that too. 2 days ago I opened a new Etsy shop. I have not added the credit card information and it is still alive. My previous attempt to open a shop was suspended within 8-12 hours after enter the credit card details.

Was the shop fully opened without entering the credit card info? How did you skip that final step?

La tienda no fue abierta completamente ya que me falta ese último paso de agregar la tarjeta de crédito. Esperare algunos días hasta que tenga una nueva tarjeta de crédito

I wouldn't use the same address for a while personally and then I would use a member of my family who legit lives there

But we’ve all done it with the same addresses and a lot of us have many accounts that are just fine.

How do people get banned where there are 2 accounts under one household; ie husband and wife. Is it because they are logging in with the same IP? If they were using the same address, but all other different details (including IP), they would be safe?

Safer in general to use different address when possible

I would think SSN would be one way to show 2 persons living under same roof,sharing IP,address.
