Default Recieving payments - auto limited threshold?

So basically I've been using paypal for over 5 years and come to learn a few things.

But.

I have been trying to recieve a payment from a buyer for £1050

I have 5 verified paypal accounts.

I tried to recieve the payment to one - instantly limited

then I tried to recieve a payment of £500 from the same buyer - limited within seconds.

Then a seperate buyer paid an invoice of £249.99 and the account stayed active.

So my question is - obviously paypal has an amount that triggers a limitation.

Does anyone know what it is?

I want to recieve my £1000 from my customer but dont want to get limited.

I've already lost 3 accounts stating that said accounts WILL NOT be reinstated and will remain permanently limited.

Help

are these all accounts that have limits lifted on them? If so, and they are 5 years old and receive regularish payments, it seems to be bad luck, because after all , any pp can get limited, but less likely if the above are correct and set up properly...

You dont think that they have linked you with previous paypals that got busted do you? sometimes they let you keep one they know or think is linked, but they dont let you do much on it but basic stuff....

Suggestions, well you know the usual, stick to transactions under £250 and no more than
£500 per month, at least for a while, if that goes ok, build it up gradually...

My suggestion would be to just get CCNOW for your larger transactions because paypal has methods that make almost absolutely no sense

I'm inclined to believe that Paypal is concerned about the first buyer but not the second buyer. It may have nothing to do with the amount. It could be the geographic location of #1, could be the history of #1, could be the choice of funding method #1 wants to use....

Obvious factor: #1 couldn't pay after more than one attempt, even with lower amount. #2 could pay right away with no headache.

This also tells me that PP isn't worried about you very much. At least not yet. Keep dinking around trying to repeatedly collect from #1 and continue to fail - PP might start wondering about YOU.

Think this problem through before you try getting paid by #1 again. Don't continue to employ trial-and-error tactics.
