Default FR0RC002 Regarding your eBay account

Just got this email on a 3 wk old stealth account. Any idea?

FR0RC002 Regarding your eBay account

Dear ?????,

Your eBay account has been limited to allow us to confirm your identity
and review current business practices. eBay occasionally places selling
limits on accounts to keep the trading community safe.

We'd be happy to review your account and, if possible, adjust your
selling limits to allow additional activity to take place. In order for
us to review your account, I need to ask you to submit all of the
following information by fax (fax number below):

- A readable copy of the driver's license, front *and* back, or other
government-issued ID.

- A copy of a recent credit card statement. Your billing address should
be visible, along with the first and last four digits of your credit
card number.

- Documentation that shows that you purchased or are in possession of
the item(s) currently listed for sale on eBay. If you have many items
for sale, we just ask that you send two or three invoices.

-- Important --

- Make sure that your name and User ID appears on each document that you
submit.

- After you send this information to us, please reply to this message
with a brief note letting us know that the information has been sent.

-- Note --

- It may take up to two business days to review your information.

- All documents submitted will be destroyed after we review them.

We appreciate your cooperation in resolving this matter as quickly as
possible.

need more detail. what were you selling? how many? did you have feedback established. Its sounds like you were listing too many Vero items on a new account with no feedback established. Thats a no no.

That is what I was thinking but never do VERO items. All small $ items, less than $30 high volume in the high several hundreds. Never ever happened for less than a 1000 items running at a time. Always get good feedback and all buyers always get what they bid on, only ebay closing me down for seller fees. Nothing unusual, been doing this for many years. Used to be able to list in the 4000 to 6000 range but now alot lower before they pull the triger. It is just a different email then the normal one suspending the account. The "KYB- Seller Vetting" "FR0RC002" is new one for me. They normally just close the account but this time left auctions running but limited any additional listings. Was just curious if it is even worth while giving them what they want but I really don't want to do that. The account is Stealth as I have been dong it this way for some 7 or 8 years now. Also fyi ebay does still read the hard drive volume id as they got me awhile back on several accounts but never a problem since I always change it on all machines now. Just thought I tell you that one as I don't recall that subject in the forums.

does Ebay really still read hard drive ID. how would they do that when you DONT actually install any Ebay software on your computer. They would have to hack, use a super cookie method or their Ebay toolbar, etc

Should have stated it was only when listing directly and uploading images. I started changing my drive voulume id and solved the problem at that time. The accounts at that time were being suspended within 2 hours of first listing.
