Default Paypal Verification using Wamu

Once I start my new Paypal account and try to verify my bank account, they give me 2 options: 1) confirm immediately by logging into my online banking account or 2) have paypal deposit 2 payments into my account which takes 2-3 days.

Everytime I try to do the immediate verification, it never works and makes me do option 2. Why is this? Does it matter if I use my savings or checking to verify my bank account?

I looked in eBay Stealth for this and couldnt find it.

Thanks.

Has anyone been able to verify their bank account immediately without waiting 2 days for the 2 deposits?

NEVER give eBay/Paypal your banking log in information.
BAD move...
Do the 2 small deposits and wait a few days.

This answer is based on my opinion.
I personally would NEVER hand my banking log in and password over to anyone.
In my book that is just asking for trouble.

I been using BOA, it does the instant online verification, also BOA let you have unlimited accounts (I had 4)...very cool! And it takes 2 days for Paypal deposits, even on weekends, I transfer money on saturday, its there on Monday!

I was just going over and reading this thread and have to say that, "Here We Go Again", said everything perfect! He/she knows their S***!

Never...just hand over any banking information...just wait out the 2-3 days. I have been a member since March and just now created both Bay/Pal accounts and leading up to that, I had very similar questions that, Here We Go Again, Lakeman, Lyda, Doughboykilla & Greenbean ALL had the same answer for me and helped out tremendously with all Paypal!

However, I have never attemted to use WAMU, if it is still available or works.
If anyone uses it or knows it still works, please PM me.

Wait for your 2 deposits!!! Its in your best interest!!

This is a very old threat, but I now do the instant verification with BOA and have been now for some time with no issues.

Default again, Never give paypal or ebay banking log in info it does not work its a trick

Paypal will not verify your account instantly with your bank log-in. Wait on the 2 deposits.
Its a trick and does not work. I dont know how they can get away with such trickery but remember paypal is the bad wolf they dont play fair. I dont know what they are doing with everyones info who does TRY to instantly verify with bank log-in but im sure they will eventually get sued for it imo. Dont do it, it wont work!
