I was a 5 year powerseller on ebay with over 4,500 positive feedback and less than 10 negatives. What my competitors did was band together, start over 100 new names (not stealth I'm sure, but hidden IP's I'm sure) with 0 feedbacks who bid rediculous low amounts ($3, $5, $9 etc on items worth over $100 etc) over and over and over again. Then, under their real(?) Ebay names they enmasse complained to ebay about shill bidding, even accusing my steady buyers of shill bidding which chased some away because of the "investigations". Ebay is stupid, but not that stupid--------- BUT................. if you knew how much grief it caused me with Ebay's incessant phone calls and one or two take downs of my auctions (thanks to their 8th grade Trust and Safety clerks who have no common sense) you'd realize that it's only an annoyance at best to bid on competitors auctions without intent of winning. Some of the rogues actually WON a few auctions, never paid but got access to my feedback with negatives. Some actually accepted delivery of the item and then filed a paypal "not as described" (ludicrous) complaint and sent back an EMPTY box or envelope. Paypal considered it a "return" no matter what I said because of the online tracking of the empty box and I was out of luck.

The only way to get someone taken down in my opinion (especially a power seller) is to STEALTH a new account in their names with any information that you might have about them, then sell items that are high risk and outpriced. Once the new account of "theirs" is taken down, you can rest assured that there will be an investigtion into their standard ebay account. Of course, your other stealth names will have to complain to ebay that the original account is selling counterfeit items etc as well.

Most of the stuff done will just be an annoyance or distracting to them, but, isn't that the goal? Distract them (maybe get lucky and get them suspended) so that they don't bother YOUR accounts? It would take a campaign of many stealth names or people (in their case they had the advantage of horde mentality followers) to get this done...but they did it to me....you can do it to them. What I need to do is just recall what they did to me and give them a dose of their own arsenic spiced with "cool" revenge.
so if you did this, you would need to create paypal accounts as well to pay for items or accept payments?
