Default Paypal funds frozen

Got suspended, usual funds can be held up to 180 days and have 7k on it, just wondering if anyone knows if this is true because I was on the phone to them and they said that they review the account every month and they can release the amount little by little using the excuse that they keep the money on there to as a safety net for any potential disputes. Any way to accelerate the release, even if its just some or do I just have to wait every month to see they release any money.

There was a user on here about a year ago with a huge amount locked up, and he said Paypal was willing to release a portion of his funds to him before the 180 days were up. Seems to be rare though.

Most have to wait the full 6 months. Within the last year or so Paypal has started sending those large balances to themselves towards the end of the 6 months using "AUP violations" as the reason. There are at least a dozen threads on here made by users who had 4 or 5 digit amounts stuck in a limited Paypal account, who logged in one day to find Paypal had sent all of the funds they'd been waiting on to themselves.

I'm not trying to scare you but it's a possibility in your case for sure.

Paypal will review each case, what is the offense and what is the source of fund,if your buyer is not using a credit card, but Paypal fund, thats better than using a card ,bank fund is also better than credit card.
Both you and your buyer reputation can come into picture as well,is he overseas,is he quick to file dispute, what is the item?

Paypal should release the funds after 6 months. And yes there are cases where they keep the money, but that is VERY RARE.

Hopefully it should go your way, and for next time, be sure to withdraw every few days instead of letting funds accumulate.

I tried twice, I had 4k at one point, went for 2 different withdrawals, trying different and smaller amounts each time, they blocked it
