Default unable to recover funds INR claim

I got an answer to a claim I filed on an item not recieved with Paypal...

They send me a nice email saying that they had decided in my favor But unfortunatley they were unable to recover any funds associated with this transaction from the sellers account

What kind of crap is that?! What does "Buyer protection" mean anyway if there really is no protection??

Is there anything I can do? I am 99% certain this seller is completley stealth, I have checked all over for the name and address phone number... its all bogus.

Paypal does that when the seller has no funds in their account. How did you pay for the item? If you payed by Credit card or bank account, then file a charge back. If you payed by paypal balance, I would call them.

That is wrong! Is that seller still selling anything on ebay? I'm not sure what you can do.

Like you said, what the hell happened to "Buyer protection"!?

Default not a trace of the seller...

No longer registered with ebay...

I always thought that Paypal was under obligation to return the buyers money... I have had cases before that were INR claims and they always either took my money... or if the account had nothing in there they made it go negative to refund the buyer.

that is a load of crap...i guess paypal is just protecting there behind...but if there really is money on the account and they limited the account and juist tell the buyers ohh were so sorry theres money on the sellers account but we would rather keep it than give it to you...buyer protection should mean if there is a problem or an item never received they should be refunded by paypals pockets regardless if there is money or not on the sellers account.... i think they can be sued for there bogus protection....

Default I totally agree

you know the more I dig around .. the more corrupt paypal seems to be... maybe they will get what they deserve one day

Perhaps we could all get together and claim mental abuse

" look what they made me resort to" ha ha

paypal decides on a case by case basis. imo, they say one thing & do what they want.

I have had a handful of INR claims against me over the years.. some were probaly legit...most are not .... But everytime I on the ones that I KNEW were recieved I fought it and always ended up with a neg balance in paypal...

In the email I got from them explaining that they couldnt get my money back they said please refer to the user agreement as it states something like buyer protection is not always 100% guaranteed...

Well that must be way down deep in the microscopic print someplace...because they sure as heck advertise that you are 100% covered at all times..

But GB is right... they do what they want.
