Default DHGate has a Problem with PayPal

Hello,

i use dhgate.com for many years, now i received an e-mail from DhGate for transactions i made 1 months ago.

I was happy with the merchandise and send a positive feedback:

Dear xxxxxx,

This is DHgate Customer Service Department.

DHgate is a website that supports online transaction platform and offers escrow service for your protection.

Regarding your PayPal transaction id 2MN62523SC454340D (DHgate PO# 0902814440 ), we are sorry to inform you that we have asked the seller to suspend shipping as your payment is being investigated by PayPal. To resume the transaction, please provide the following information to PayPal and confirm the validity of the payment as soon as possible:

Original bills of sales or invoices concerning your order, along with the name and the telephone number of your supplier(s).
Your ID information
Please note that the transaction will not be resumed until the investigation is finished by PayPal. If the seller has sent the item and you want to reverse your payment, you can refuse to sign the parcel or choose to send the purchase order back.

We value you as a long-term customer. Please let us know if we may assist you in any way.

Respectfully,

Has anybody received this e-mail and knows what i should do?

I paid with my entropay VCC, but i didnt open any paypal account, because i use trash-mail.com, an e-mail provider for one-use e-mail accounts.

Thats odd- but if you got the merchandise, there shouldn't be any problem- it may just be a glitch

Reading that, it appears Paypal has a problem with your transaction and has contacted dhgate. Not dhgate having a problem, but Paypal. dhgate doesn't want their seller to ship goods that Paypal might not complete the payment for. And I'm sure Paypal didn't volunteer to tell dhgate that you aren't the one who initiated the investigation that Paypal took it upon themselves to conduct.

Now go back and look again at the wording of your message from dhgate. See if it is more clear from this perspective.

What he said is true, log in to your paypal account that you sent the payment from and you'll see the transaction paypal is so called investigating! It happened to me once, they end up returning the money to my account after telling them that I authorize the transaction! Then they limit the account!

I didn't want to be the one to mention that part. But, that is indeed likely to happen. Paypal had probably decidied *for you* that it *is in your best interest* to not buy from that source without letting you make up your own mind what you want to do. Then Paypal has likely convinced themselves that you are stupid or a crook, and therefore too risky to do business with. They may therefore limit you or even give you the Dear John letter.

Maybe not. With PP, one never knows...

Isn't DHGate stuff ⊗⊗⊗⊗, so Ebay does not approve of them as supplier?

Lyda, some of the sellers on DHGate have the phoney baloney. But it may not be PC to rubber stamp them all.

Authenticity isn't based on geographic location of where the goods are warehoused. It can be a clue that says something is LIKELY not genuine, but not proof.

Norelco shavers are made in Indonesia, for instance. But you can't buy them there. Not in bulk and not as a consumer. They are not there. When they come out of the factory, they leave the country directly to some other place for distribution. China makes a lot of goods. China ships a lot of goods. 90% (statistic I've seen in google searching - may be somebody's estimate) of products are made in or ship from China. So, if it ain't from China, it's 90% ⊗⊗⊗⊗. Statistically. Thing is, it starts in China as real and I buy it in Akron at Walmart. It's still real. Statistics don't mean much unless you actually translate them into something viable. Same principle applies to source of goods. Ed Hardy is an american company. But his shoes are made in Taiwan and the shirts in China.

I understand, Vic. I looked at their website (very slow page download, btw...or maybe its my computer tonight), and there are things I see may be completely legit to resell and make some profit on, like Christmas decorations. I am wondering about Apple Ipods and such, things with brand name on it...not a sexy g-string for $2.50 a peace...

A grain of salt to sprinkle on everything. But yeah, I was only pointing out that *some* things are probably bogus, not necessarily *all*. Keepin' it real.

Hi,

thanks for your replies.

I will buy from DHGate in the future, hope they will let me, when i use a different paypal account.

Because their merchandise (Halloween costumes, christmas gifts) are amazing.

And my supplier is fast.

I ordered also frontline products and their look authentic (i dont know if they are, but i think so). And i sell these on amazon.com with great success and all of my costumers are very happy with them.

What if you just get your seller to sell outside of Dhgate that way they never see them and then just send it directly to your seller email acc. Unless you dont trust your seller.

One more thing... Is the PayPal in question linked to Ebay account you are selling those from? If so, there is your problem...Have a "stand alone" PayPal? Try to use it to buy.

That happens everywhere. Gotta be careful unless you are doing it deliberately.

Mostly everything is ⊗⊗⊗⊗ on Dhgate. If I am purchasing from there, I expect to get ⊗⊗⊗⊗.

Most people buy branded name things on dhgate because they know it's ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and that's exactly what they want where else do you find 1000% profit margins? That's all I use is dhgate and I spend less then an hour a day packaging, they paid for my landrover and soon my mercedez. I have no need to find another supplier.

Yea, dhgate is good. You don't have to buy Vero or ==== items to make money on ebay. I am currently buying non brand named items from dhgate and make 100-200% profit margin.
