Default I got so peeved I started a new oz only auction site

It's not huge just yet, but due to the fact I spend money on advertising I have managed in less than a month to attract sellers who have made a few sales each from buyers (most of these buyers are sellers as well)
At the moment my main aim is to get as many sellers as possible - it is free to list and no fvf. Listing upgrades cost money, but all new accounts start off with $20 credit so they can feature on the front page.
In addition to this any seller who lists 2 auctions with us goes into the monthly draw to win a prize (prize differs every month)
Oz Online Market Free Australian Auctions, Buy & Sell for Free
Basically we (I say we as I have financial backers and other website helpers as it does take time to maintain a site) are hoping to provide an auction/buy-it-now site that is simple to use and allows sellers to keep 100% profit.

I do not like the monopoly paypal and ebay have in the internet world. Even other auction sites like oztion or classified sites like gumtree are really owned by ebay.
We are very happy for anyone to use other payment options, our preferred option being Paymate.
What we offer to our members is continued promotion of the site to attract new members, and we will also listen to the sellers and buyers to keep the site going as smoothly as possible.

Good luck

I don't think oztion is owned by Ebay! I believe it was started by disgruntled ex Ebay Powersellers.

That is not correct. Oztion was bought by ASX listed company Jumbuck Entertainment Ltd in 2008.

100% agree. Has anyone of you tried to sell on oztion? Getting through the registration prcess is a little tricky as they only allow aus and new zealand sellers.

i am a seller on oztion, been a member since it first started, oztion really isnt that great, takes 12 months just to get 5 clicks on your items. never use an auction style cos it wont sell, all bin prices and everything on oztion takes forever.

its good to use when ebay shuts you down though
