Error message from Paypal HELP

Im in the process of signing up my new paypal account and when i went to add a new bank account to my paypal account it comes up with an error message.

The bank information you have added is invalid or missing. Please try again.

* You have entered an invalid Bank/State/Branch (BSB) Number. Please enter the BSB number as two numbers, each three digits long, without a hyphen.

The bsb number is correct ive double checked it and the account is active in my Online banking. What is going on ? is something wrong.

Ive created a Commonwealth bank sub account. Cheers

Hmmmm well ive looked into this a little further and i noticed the sub account has a slightly different BSB number from my primary account bsb number. I think this is the problem because when i changed the new bsb number to the old one it lets it go through. I think paypal can detect what is a primary bsb and what is a sub account bsb could that be the case ? if so that sucks big time and im pretty much stuck here. Any help would be appreciated.

if there is an error with the BSB, for some reason paypal here rejects everything outright.
I have transposed numbers & had problems.

Found the problem... The bsb number i was being offered automatically by my bank was no longer valid because the account i had originally opened Yearssss ago is no obsolete and the bsb number is no longer valid even thou its still active. I had to call them up and get them to manually open up a new account over the phone with a valid bsb CBA the best bsb to use with a 2000 range bsb eg. 062-000. Problem solved, paypal accepts this range no problem. Case closed

I'm getting the same error as the original poster, except that my account is brand new and is from a CBA branch that was recently opened in December '09. I was thinking the bsb might not be recognised yet as it's a new branch?
If so, any idea how long till it is recognised?
