Question Need some input, account denied appeal

Hey guys,

I need some advice.

I run an auctiva merchant store online, and paypal claims my goods are high risk items, which they aren't.

Anyways, my appeal is denied.

Now, if I was to set up a new paypal, and link it to the same online store, will paypal know this right away?

Please do advise, thank you!

Your time and help is very much appreciated.

I think the only way they would link it is like with any merchant, email address, and the token on the website.

Here's my best advice, if you're selling outside of eBay, cut your umbilical cord and get rid of paypal. Google checkout, moneybookers, liberty reserve, checks! Anything is better than paypal.

Yes, I understand, but I'd just like to know whether there's still a chance, since Paypal would be the easiest way to receive payments.

if they class it as high risk goods, wont same thing happen again? was there another factor like volume?

no, if you want to use paypal you cant just add another paypal to same store, you need to make a new pairing that are not linked, or you may have it happen again, please read forum or get stealth guides before doing it....

You make a new account, you will get limited again. Now this time, if paypal are annoyed bad enough with you they might not release any held funds. You'll get some payments, imho, then limited again

If the stove is burning hot, are you going to keep on putting your hand on it, again & again & again?

Thank for the response guys.

I suppose if I run an auctivacommerce account, I'll then have to apply for a new one then?

Start all over with the item listing I guess... and what do you guys suggest, stick with the same domain? or purchase a new one...

From my best of knowledge, paypal can only link back to the same if...

1. Using the same paypal.
2. Using the same IPN code (which auctivacommerce) generates.

Any further input would very much be appreciated.

P.S I only sold two items on my last account...and yes, I have the stealth guide. It just doesn't cover much in depth on e-commerce store conditions.

Also,

Will paypal instantly be able to track which sites sales came from?

Or do they only check when your account is limited?

There's a big problem with what you said here:
"since Paypal would be the easiest way to receive payments."

My friend, years of experience beg to differ. I always urge people to not use paypal if possible. Sure, it's easy to use, and quick, but when you get accounts limited, and they steal your money, you'll start to get a different tone.

Explore other options from paypal. That's the best advice I can give.

Yes, you're right. I am aware that Paypal can trace back to websites that has had limited accounts associated it before.

I suppose I'll just have to get buyers to e-mail me to issue invoices.

Since I'm using auctivacommerce, Paypal only seems to be the viable checkout option, if not, Authorize.net (which I can't register for here in Thailand).

Any further input would be greatly appreciated guys.

Thank you for your time.

Please also help answer the following questions... thank you.

1. Will paypal instantly be able to track which sites sales came from? If a website already has a limited account linked to it, is that specific site/domain also flagged?

2. Or do they only check when your account is limited?

I thought PayPal was more "flexible" for transactions outside Ebay.... I keep on using my paypal with my real info on other sites where I am selling and never a problem.. Knock on wood!:D

Great to hear that. I was just wondering though, have you had any accounts that were "limited" to a site? whereby you used another working paypal to collect sales from that same site?

I have the Stealth Book, but just not sure how 'flexible' paypal really is.

No, I don't have my own website for now, I sell on few other auction sites, but no, I never had it limited because of it. I do have to say it is in my own name, jumped through many hoops already, they have my social there, my real address and all.. Had this account for years. It is my first PayPal that was linked to my first Ebay and Ebay has been suspended, of course. So now I use it all other places, but not Ebay. My new Ebay accounts have new PayPals attached to it.

Thanks for the input Lyda.

Do you mind sharing what other potential auction sites you list on?

Thank you, that would very much be appreciated.

Yes, they certainly are. I've noticed they're very non inquisitory with the accepting of payment for services as well.
