Default Anyone tried State Farm Bank for PayPal stealth deposits?

I looked in the sticky and didn't see it mentioned anywhere. Would be good if it worked because it's an online-only bank (run by the well-known insurance company) with a favorable fee structure and much less tendency to invent fees or otherwise try to abuse customers vs. the biggest banks.

I've been using WAMU (now Chase), but I can easily see with Chase where they'll pressure customers to opt in to overdraft protection or otherwise introduce a more hostile set of fees. I don't like what I've seen already. Would be good to dump them but don't want to rock the boat with PayPal or trigger some SSN requirement.

Chase is a leader in inventing fee traps for even the slighest mix-up on your part. Even if not your fault. I recently had my first overdraft in 15 years because of an ATM that didn't dispense money but deducted it. Totally not my fault, but if that starts a chain reaction you won't get reimbursed for any third-party fees or consequences. You can have separate accounts (I don't pay bills out of the PP account), but you'll get float times. On the overdraft fees the big banks are trying to avoid losing about $20B in revenues.

It's also the same bank that suddenly raised monthly minimum payments to 5% (from 2%) on thousands of cardholders who had parked large balances at low percentage rates. Not that anyone out there is running an eBay business on a credit card... But for those who do have 'em, the financial crisis has helped show who the good guys and bad guys are.
