Default 10G's of Play Money, What would you do for profit!

I'd ideally like to get into the stock market but in order to day trade I know I need 25K invested. The most I'd invest into a brokerage account is 2k-3k. What would you guys do? Ebay hustling has made me kind of sick lately.

Don't day trade, find some companies you like and invest in them for the long haul.

If I did that instead of day trading last year I would of made 400-500 percent more money.

So I just opened an TD Ameritrade account, Cash Only. I'm going to start of with 2500 and diversify it a bit. I might do a little bit of swing trading. I'm already in a 401k at my workplace at 12% of my pay matched dollar for dollar so I think I have the real long haul covered. I'd just like to make decent earnings from week to week with this brokerage account if possible. I'm going to take this as a learning opportunity and hopefully make something out of it.

Wonder if there's any benefits to having a TD Bank account. It's what I use for my stealths. Hmmm.

And don't buy penny stocks either, I've still got about a million shares from a few years ago all under a penny a share.

I remember almost opening a Scottrade account a couple years ago to get into that.. Do people really make money off it from your experience?

I think citibank would be your best bet, it's probably going to go up next year.

why stock market? in stock market, investers are happy with 8-10% roi. Ebay allows 100% + roi all day errryday.....no brainer imo.

Also, think CNK, Cinemark Holdings, they are the largest holder of 3d movie technology. Everyone seemed to get a hard on over avatar....plus 13 new 3d releases this year. 3d has been compared by Jim Cramer as tv going from black and white to color.

I think the only ones that make money from penny stocks the insiders, most of em are all scammers with dummy corporations.

I think it's another passing fad, but that's just me.

Ughhh, I missed out on 4 thousand dollar profit yesterday due to unsettled cash and not having non-marginable funds!

How do you get passed unsettled funds? I've missed out on huge opportunities cause of it and not having non-marginable funds.

How long after one tries to upgrade their account to a margin does it take for approval? Missed out on GOIG.... Had good information on it but couldn't purchase any shares... I had to sit back and watch it grow 40% or so yesterday. They're not having a good day today but oh well, my shares would have been sold yesterday....

With a margin account I take it you don't have to wait for funds to settle after a trade?
