Default Lose claim case in Paypal. Need help!!

I just lost a claim case in Paypal, even though I tracked my number and it showed item delivered. I think the buyer is a cheating. He said my item is not as described. What can I do to avoid to lose this kind of case?
I sell expensive products. One case causes me 500 loss. I am so upset. Anyone can help me?

other than to describe as accurately as possible, there is nothing you can do to avoid it

is the item going to be returned to you? do you think they will return empty envelope?

No. I think they will return something like a pencil. What I should do? Do you know how paypal make the judgement?

How does PayPal adjudicate?

Buyer can return any significantly not as described item bought for full refund. In reality, this is: 'buyer can return Any product' if they change their mind. A buyer can simply claim that item was received damaged even it wasn't.

There is nothing that a seller can do. PayPal will not examine any evidence such as photos, emails, statements etc. other than in some cases where product is alleged to be counterfeit(buyer needs to provide expert's proof, ie. claim that gold coin is ⊗⊗⊗⊗.) In this case, buyer is better protected if he claims that item came damaged.

The case is usually decided based on information provided in the dispute message in the Resolution Center.

if you think a pencil will be returned, get a witness eg postman to be there when item is delivered and opened...and to note something down for you...will it make a difference to paypal? possibly not, but you can threathen legal action, if its worth it for you...truth is, do not sell very expensive items, magnet for scammers.....not much you can do unfortunately

I think it is much easier for a buyer to win a "not as described" dispute if bought and invoiced through ebay and the checkout system. For just a regular transaction (for instance if you contacted a non-winning bidder who agreed to buy outside of ebay) I believe they don't have anywhere near as much leverage for a not as described claim. I've had this happen to me and if you have proof of delivery, basically you win the claim...at least in my experience.
That is why if at all possible it might be best to invoice them outside of the ebay system.

Really not much you can do but use the scammers info to open a stealth paypal and sell $500 worth of f a ke stuff, then buy something form a site that lets you change the address on the paypal payment.
