Default Question about unverified paypal

Just wanted to know, if you were recieving payments with a unverified paypal and then got limited what would the procedure be from there on. Would paypal post cheques in 180 days time, if you use real details when signing up to the account. Or is the money theres to keep.

Thanks

No, it isn't. You can change details in the profile after it's limited.

So if the account is verified and your limited you can also change details? But of course the check in the end would be in your name so you to bank it.

Im selling on ebay.com, what Im thinking is getting a company who can give me a US post forwarding address and for them to send me the cheque to the UK.

Would this work?

Thanks.

The only problem with verifying your paypal before you sell your first item is if you get hit with ID verify MC010 then you just waisted another bank account. I usually try to sell unverified until I get about 20-30 feedback and everything is running smooth then add bank account.

@jbuntz, a correctly created stealth account should not have that problem.
Your advice is a tad outside usual practices...what works for you may not work for the collective.

So typical of our nemesis. You get stung & lose bank accounts. No wonder we are at war

Im just looking for a method of when your limited on the accounts i've been buying off this forum, that could be down to me or the VPN i've been using but it could also be the amount of money been recieved.

What im trying to say is, can a verified paypal be limited, and then after could you change the postal details around on the account so paypal.com could send the cheque to me to my mail forwarder in the US who would then send me the cheque in the UK.

Thanks.

If you use real details, you formally end the relationship with Paypal and threaten legal action to remove the 180 day limit. Tried and tested

My experience is different. I have seller accounts with VCC's and when I try to sell with unverified paypal I am not able to list until I link with a verified paypal account.

Any thoughts?

This is what i was enquiring about before. I was selling, selling, selling and I did not link my paypal account at that time. I wanted to sell again, but ebay kicked me out of ebay and it went to the log in screen.

just above the username was writing saying "something something something... you have exceeded your limit"

so I added or linked my paypal account. from then on, my ebay account was fine and I could re-sell again...

but I dont want to do this for my new account now as I do not want to use paypal or link to it...

i suggest to increase your stars to 10 then you can start selling

i think if you verify the account the restrictions lift and you are free
but in order to un restrict , i dont know the proccess

Does this mean you sell and post items and just leave the money in paypal? Isn't there a risk that paypal will limit the account then all your money is lost?

I've seen that "you've exceeded the limit a lot". It only means that your direct debit or other way you pay your ebay fees has expired. Add it again, and you're free to sell again.
