which country ips ranges are ok for UK account log ins
I have logged in and relisted stuff from Spain and Portugal before, no flags...but that could be just holiday allowances by ebay...
who lives permanently or a long period in another euro country and logs in to established UK created accounts....
I am wondering whether an account that has been established and administered from UK ip for years and then suddenly is adminned from say
Spain ip all the time raises flags or not...

My experience says no. I have a UK account, and for the last ten months I have been logging in in Serbia and Hungary with no problems. I'm about to create a second account, but I will ensure that I get someone to do that in the UK, as that will most likely raise a few eyebrows.

very interesting, thanks....
what kind of ip is it, broadband, mobile , is it a wide ranging ip and is it linked to Serbia/Hungary....
see I would think an account moving ip suddenly would cause flags, eg it was hijacked or something...

Well I use a number of different connections, usually leeching of my neighbour's unsecured network in Serbia. I also log in to PP and EBay at friend's houses, net cafes, etc with no problems.
I have had some limitations since then, a few RXI033 and RXI052, they said they had reason to believe someone has used my account fraudently blah blah. As I recall I just had to change my password.

I think I have deduced the key factor on this - cookies
if cookies stay the same and arent deleted, it should help with ip changed not getting flagged.

Yes flash and normal cookies are more important than ip's . I had a turkish e bay and used it 6 months on italy and no flagged.

It's pretty easy to get round this, you use a VPS. I have used VPN before, but my account got limited pretty quickly.
You can do most Ebay stuff through Auctiva, for the rest use VPS

You could do your Ebay work through Auctiva and your Paypal work through a UK dial up from Thailand. Alternatively use a trading assistant that you can trust to do the work for you. They are out there - just hard to find LOL |

I have been using my UK based ebay and paypal in Pakistan from last one and half year and selling stuff about 3000 BP every month, i got issue in the beginning and paypal requested me every bit of information for verification, like company tax registration, Driving license, supplier invoice, etc etc
but after that did not get any issue.
