Default Payments held beyond 3 days!!

Paypal is really starting to get to me. So I have packages that went out the door, all delivered May 5. Today is the 13 well over 3 days and payments still not released. Payments usually release after 3 days confirmed delivery. I'm calling them tomorrow so see whats going on. I cant seem to get people to leave feedback for the life of me. I cant afford to have my items out the door and no payment. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Anyone else having this problem?

I've had that happen a few times. I just shot them a email letting them know that the package was delivered on X date and it shows on the USPS site (or whatever shipper you used). Usually within a few hours of sending it off they will release the hold on the funds. I am always nice in the email so I do not draw any unwanted attention to the account. Best of luck to you!

Which contact category are you sending to, because when I send them an email about this I get back a boilerplate form letter basically ignoring the question. I have had them take an 5-6 days after delivery confirmation for them to release.

What email address are you using? I need to do that as well. I need this resolved b/c I refuse to list anything else until the rest of my money is released and transfered out of the account.

Once you are on your "My Account" page look on the right hand side and you will see a link that says contact us. Clink on that link and the next page will give you several options to contact them. The 3rd or 4th one down is by email. Click on the email link and go from there. That is how I have emailed them and always had good response that way.

I used to email paypal letting them know the item had been delivered and to please release my funds. It used to work when they did the 21 day hold on payments when I first started. After a few months they started the "from now on payments you receive will be held in a pending balance to make sure we get our little interest from your money" and now when I email them asking to release it I either get the generic auto response or some bs about logging into my account and reading why they hold payments. I've given up and just decided to either let them release it when they want or after the 21 days. Multiple emails thru ebay AND emailing customers at their personal addy rarely works in my experience. It really sucks adding delivery confirmation when they still don't release the money after it is shown to be delivered. Sorry for writing a book paypal/non feedback giving customers have me heated!

I though i was the only one when out of no where after few months with strong sales, Paypal decided from now the funds going to be held.
This is a new trick for paypal to keep our money and earn intrest. These people get away from the biggest fraud...robbing people like us. Hate them

That's why I sell Vintage items guranteed a happy customer. Whenever I sell them they get it and they are so happy because they got the item they leave + feedback right away. Try that to get past the 20+ DSR it always works for me. You can buy Vintage items almost anywhere garage sales, auctions, estate sales, thrift stores etc..

So many things for a 20+ dsr rating - you can get it done right and proper...

To start out I only sell stuff that people buy for feedback which you can't talk about here since everyones against it, most people leave feedback right after purchase once I get over 20 dsr's then I start selling my real stuff with no holds. I also have another method which you also can't talk about since its risky but it can get you 20 dsr's in 1 day (hint: I have 20 buyer accounts),

Default Update on Paypal Holds

I'm noticing two things:

1) It seems like shipping holds are releasing funds in the early afternoon. Like if your package was delivered with confirmation on the 20th at 1pm, funds may get released however many days they hold it, for example on the 26th, and at around 1pm or close to it. All of my pending funds that have been released in the last couple of weeks have been done in the early afternoon.

2)Is there any rhyme or reason on how they calculate the shipping hold? For example, I have one package that was delivered with confirmation and they released the funds 4 days later. ($420.00) Right now I have one that was delevered with confirmation before the that one, and it still hasn't released 10 days later. (And it's only $39.00) For one thing you'd think the hold would be the opposite due to the $ amounts. And No, I ddin't receive feedback for either one of them.

Wierd.
