Default XOOM.com - PayPal alternative?

has tried XOOM.com? this is a quote from thier site...

"Standard Service offers competitive fees and gives you the flexibility and security to pay using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or PayPal. Standard Service is the fastest method of funding your Xoom transaction."

so apparently you can accept paypal through them?

they are one of the few approved methods of payment on ebay's site. Accepted Payments Policy

i just signed up for a new account and it only took about 2 minutes and they didnt ask for much info. i was just wondering if anyone has used them with ebay and how the service was. i havnt added by bank or CC info yet, and i havnt received any payments yet either.

also i couldnt find a way to send money to the US, even though they are based in the US, and they let me sign up for a US account.

am i missing something?

There are quit a few bad reports on them having massive delays in completing transfer.

I have an account but haven't used it yet. Was not aware it was accepted on eBay though.

You Might look into setting up an Account with a Bank that is located Outside the U.S. and Inside the U.S. as well. Set the Account up with the Outside U.S. Bank linked to Xoom and then set another U.S. based Account and link the Foreign and Domestic accounts together. I Know that Chase and HSBC allow you to link your Foriegn and Domestic accounts together
