Default Important Message About Your Account

Have been doing this a while but now my new accounts are getting the message from Paypal about 21-day holds on ALL payments. Ive never seen this before until the past month or so on my accounts. A couple have over 20 DSRs and are all 4.8 or above. I havent found this answer and have searched so Ill ask it... Does Paypal ever REMOVE the 21-day hold status after they send you the email saying they are holding all your funds? IF anyone has had any experience with it getting removed Id be curious as to how long it takes to go through their process since my accounts are fairly established with 100% positives and high DSRs. Any help is appreciated.

Usually once you hit 20 DSR's, get 100 feedback comments (positive of course), and maintain a decent DSR average they remove the 21 day payment holding.

Ok thanks. Wasnt sure because I have everything but the 100 feedback, Im still in the 50s on a few names but have the 20 DSRs etc. I wasnt sure if it was one of those things that they just plain never remove but say they will. Has anyone here actually had it removed?

thats interesting. i thought that the DSR magic number was 30? so it is only 20 DSR? does that still hold true as of today?

@jersey, No. paypal moved the goalposts again. More accounts than July whent the thread started are getting thw 21 day holds. Some of these accounts have high DSRs, some accounts are aged. Common factor is all are using paypal & getting holds. Tracking gets added, still holds.

paypal has just changed its T&S so it changes how they treat accounts. In this instance, it's hitting accounts with holds.

I actually had something new happen with them. On a certain account, I never had the 21 day hold, even in the beginning. But after a month of decent sales, they said "your payments will be held FROM NOW ON."

This is usually the stage where I get limited, so I don't mind this. But jeez, they are unpredictable.

The funny thing is that , Paypal is more strict on the ebay side, which is their own Parent :P

Paypal doesn't hold payments received from sales on websites other than Ebay.I sell stuff on other websites as well, and even for payments over 500£ , Paypal doesn't hold them.

just lurk the auction and mark as payment received right after the auction ends - then email them the paypal invoice from your paypal account. This will stop them pay through ebay = no holds

Does this actually work? How many times have you tried it? and do Paypal not get suspicious?

i put in my auctions now to email me before making payment to see if you qualify for a discount, then i just give them free shipping and a manual invoice. sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. eBay buyers are the STUPIDEST people on earth.

First line of my auctions says read everything and ask all questions before bidding. I had a buyer that purchased 2 items tell me she did not notice the part about the discount until after she paid for the first of the 2 items. which says to me "'i am a stupid fool that cant read".. i am going to have to use some automation software to have manual payment requests automatically sent via paypal. based on emails received that says "Your item sold blah blah blah" This would not be too difficult for a good programmer to create.

So nowadays there is absolutely no way to tell when the 21day hold will no longer effect your account? i have read that the account needs to be over 3 months old and 100 plus feedback. Is this true?

you just gotta wait for this email "Because of your consistently good performance, we're removing your account's payment hold."

There is no specific time now, its up to them, it does not matter how many feed back you have just keep your DSR'S high and you should have it removed.
