Amazon is much tougher than eBay is, especially on users selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗. Even having genuine items is no guarantee that you will not lose an account. With Amazon, it is not just staying under a "velocity" limit. It is also about avoiding ANY customer complaints.

For example, if you sell DVD's, new or used, a few complaints of non-working discs, or an accusation of selling counterfeit items is enough to lose the account. That holds true with ANY high-risk items.

If you don't know if your items are considered "high-risk" just look at DHgate. If they are being sold on DHgate, they are most likely deemed high-risk by Amazon.

Staying under the radar may help, but is not a guarantee of success. On the other hand, registering with them and listing 30 high-risk items the first month is a sure way to get banned VERY QUICKLY.

I don't know that it matters so much what the sale date is in relation to the payout date, but I am not 100% certain of that. But here is my best advice for being successful on Amazon:

1) Sell ONLY high-quality items
2) ALWAYS input a tracking number when you ship an item.
3) NEVER delay shipping for any reason. If you are in a car crash, and your leg is broken, hobble on down to the post office anyway. Fast shipping is CRITICAL on Amazon.
4) ALWAYS answer any customer inquiries quickly, politely, and professionally.
5) If a customer wants a refund, issue it immediately. Amazon has a mandatory 30 day return period, so specifying "no returns" or 7 days will not work.
6) NEVER allow anything to escalate to an A-Z Guarantee claim.
7) If you receive any harrassing emails from another user, NEVER respond. These are much different than questions from legitimate customers or potential purchasers. You will know what I'm talking about when you receive one. And you WILL!
8) NEVER be argumentative with Amazon or it's employees. Make any points PROFESSIONALLY. For example, if contacted about a shipping issue, don't respond with something like "what the hell do you want from me, I don't control UPS!"

Amazon wants grown-up sellers of legitimate goods, with a good customer focus and a business-like but polite approach. Acting like you belong in high school, or like you just escaped from the looney bin will get you shut down instantly.
