I agree. There can be scammers on ANY website such as this. Aliexpress.com, DHgate.com, TradeTang.com, Wholesale-Outlets.com, etc.
Find a seller with decent feedback that you feel comfortable with and place a small test order. If that works well, then place larger orders. But I advise going slowly.
Don't fall into the "lowest price" trap. Low prices are great, of course, but only if the seller is HONEST and the QUALITY is there.
Try to work up to having 4 or 5 diffferent suppliers. That way, if one disappears, you have others you can turn to.
But, and this is just from MY personal experience, for SAFETY, DHgate and Aliexpress are the best. If you do not receive your item, you WILL get a refund. I have never needed a refund from a TradeTang transaction (or really, anywhere other than ALI and DH) , so I don't know if they are good or bad about that.
It's just like eBay. There are many good sellers, but a few bad apples that you have to watch out for.
