You can not submit your listing due to the following problems
Attention!
We noticed that you chose to offer credit card as a payment option. To confirm that you can support this process, please fax a copy of your most recent merchant processing statement to (866) 309-6493.
Please include your eBay user ID, phone number and email address in the fax so that we can contact you.
While we confirm your merchant credit card account, you can continue listing items on eBay with PayPal as the payment method. PayPal is convenient to use and offers buyers and sellers protection against fraud, chargebacks, and theft of financial data.

any one can confirm this note?
On the selling form do not sellect paypal, just select merchant account. And you will get this note. I dont want paypal to be connected to my account. Never had problem untill today. Yes you can accept other payment methods like allpay, bid pay, propay... but this will be in addition to paypal not instead of.

I'm going to guess that they are only asking that of you because there was something suspicious about your account. But if not then this is sort of an easy fix isn't it? Just input a bank account and select that as your method of payment.

I don't think eBay is stupid enough to do that. They may try to take more control like they're doing now, but they'll always have to offer alternatives to Paypal.

People, go right now and open a new account and try to post one auction. In the payment option, do not select PayPal, but select Merchant Account. And see if you get this msg or not. Because if it isn't just me, then this is a huge problem for all of us who don't accept paypal!

No but i don't think that matters.
so basically you cant post anything unless you fax the paper to them or accept paypal. So if you want to use merchants account you must fax the paper to them and wait who knows how long before they will let you post.
