Default a good run comes to an end...

Had 2 of my accounts suspended today. A sad day for me. Both of them selling almost the same items, in the same category. I was VERO'd by a competitor, even though I provided proof of authenticity in the listings. The guy sent me an email a few days ago saying "stop selling or I will get you suspended". I didn't stop and I guess he did it. I just got him suspended too now, so we're even. Whether he has the power to get back onto eBay remains to be seen.

The 2nd account had over 100 feedback over 3 months and over 300 items sold. A good run indeed. Luckily I started making more backup accounts 2 weeks ago so I'm almost ready to go again, just gotta sell slowly at the start, which is painful

You sound highly educated in this forum why post on 2 accounts when you could post on 10 its christmas all around the world even in Japan. Amp up the sales for the holiday.

Good luck

Sucks that you got suspended, VeROs are almost impossible to beat. Good luck with your back up accounts.

I'm sorry to hear what happened to you--good luck with the other's. May I ask.... how did you find out "who" got you Vero'd??? My husband had 1 item for sale and they shut down the listing and he was suspended--same claim and same proof of authenticity--it was obvious it was "real" even to an amateur. Anyway, we asked "who" made this report and they said they "couldn't tell us due to security reasons". They wouldn't give us any info. so I was curious how you knew. Funny thing is, they reinstated his account after 3 days.
Thanks!!

It's funny because the guy had almost 500 feedback on his account. That he would risk that (now he's suspended) just for getting rid of a competitor is beyond me.

I'm sorry I didn't pick up on that--so new to all of this. I never realized "competitors" went around doing that until coming to this forum--that's crazy--especially if there's risk to them too--Stupid!! You would think ebay would catch on to that and not go blowing down accounts on someone else's word only--then again.........there's much i'm learning about ebay that doesn't make any sense!!!

Best of luck in the future!!

People should just worry about themselves. Now whoever reported you will have to start over again and lost money for nothing.

rond100,

I hear that and have been using 6/9 accounts to cash in on the Holiday frenzy. Its nice to have extra accounts to fall back on.

Now thinking about it, I think ebay did me a favor suspended me because I am making more money now. Because of the suspension, I was forced to research how to get back on ebay and this forum is at the top of Google when performing a search...lol

SO SORRY TO HEAR THIS HAPPENED! Don't you just love the people who can't help but brag to you about how smart they are? I'm glad you paid him back.

Sometimes when people email me that they are about to report a certain auction(because they know it sold on a suspended name and are trying to link me), I've gone in and edited the entire thing to essentially a blank listing. THEN I end it. I'm guessing it worked because that userid continued to survive it's 45 days.

I've had people send me messages saying they will report me to eBay if I don't send them the item free. How's that...

HI- had 3 accts gone tonight- seems the pattern is Sunday nights for me--anyone else??
Act#1- was over 90 dys old- had a pypal acct email used- but not linked, that paypal was limited last week. listings were all $20-$50 items.-Reason: abusing ebay--*the only thing i did on this acct tonight-- was relist 17 items,,, maybe thats the abuse??
Acct#2-- was also over 60 dys old-- no paypal- used merch acct- had 5 fb, 100%. (wow- i know)- only thing did on this acct was relist 8 items...Reason: abusing ebay
Acct#3- was over 120 dys old-- no paypal link- did have a collectible item taken down 2 wks ago- for keyword spamming.. only thing did today was view auctions.. Reason--LInked to an acct from July....
>> SO- why 1 acct linked + 2 others abuse? all 3 diff ips... maybe the older susp acct was actually that ip? never recorded.
BTW-- all 3 accts listed + sold over 20 items this week... ranging from $15-$400

No offense Ebayhateluv but if it is your competitor, is there something else you should put your effort into selling? It seems that you are a good ebayer
but are losing too much time and money on your particular items. even something not as profitable but in the long run will require much less time and make you money without that person. If you have a ton of merchandise on hand do a quick listing as a wholesale lot to make some money. Ebay newbies eat up the opportunity to buy wholesale on ebay. We all got excited in the begining too. Good Luck, Ro

YEs, problem is.. Have 2 - 40 ft Trailers of what i sell.... (very little of other odds/ends)--need to move the goods, keep using accts, i did move 74 pcs tonight between the 4 good accts...My items are Specialty items, but not high risk at all.. They are discontinued items, I have all of the remaining stock in the usa from a certain mfgr...(quite a lot invested).

I've noticed that on all my accounts that were ever suspended for abusing eBay, I listed about 10 items within 5 minutes or so ...or I edited 5 listings on one in an hour or so. I think doing too many listings at once or changes will get you suspended.

Now I list 3 items in the morning, 3 in the afternoon and 3 at night and it's all good.

Is that even if you notice an embarressing spelling error in the body of all your descriptions and just want to fix it? Or is this changing price?
