Default Ebay suspension questions.

Hello,
My ebay account was recently suspended along with my two other ones. I tried making a dummy account but I did not change my IP and I guess they caught me. I was wondering what is the risk of loggin onto a family members account which was not suspended? If I log onto it with my laptop will the IP address be flagged and will their account then be suspended. They are listed under a different paypal, credit card and name but the same address my banned account was. Why was my accounts banned and not theirs? Also I used my banned account several times on their PC's and laptops. Is there anyway that ebay has flagged their IP's too?

I just checked and their IP's are the same as mine. Why has their accounts not been suspended?

Who klnows with eBay? But give it some time. If you want to expedite the process, have your relative list a bunch of Louis Vuitton handbags or box sets of DVD's.

haha why does high priced things like bags and dvd boxed sets get more attention? I want to try and start listing on his account but i'm worried. He has been selling on ebay for years, has alot of feedback and sells a good amount of high priced items. He probably sells almost $10,000 worth in some months. Think he will get flagged? I don't see why they would ban him. You shouldnt be able to ban someone just because they live with someone who was banned. The account was there before I even made an account so its not like I'm creating an account. If I were to start listing the only thing that would change would be the items he sells. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Why more scrutiny? Because they are highly favored by counterfeiters, and there is no shortage of people attempting to sell phakes on eBay. If you don't know if your item is high-rsik, go to DHgate.com - if you find it there, eBay deems it high-risk.

Your brother is a long time eBayer and must have a good record. Maybe he won't get banned. But eBay CAN and DOES close accounts they deem risky, even if just by association. It is not fair, but it happens.

best not put your brother's good performing account at risk in any way , that is not a good idea.

ebay is strange - I had 4 accounts - one suspended, and then a week later a second was suspended as they were related , ok fine I expected that.

BUT they did not suspend my other 2 accounts that to this day have items listed ( I had a lot of multiple item listings on GTC BIN)
so as I get questions I answer them , ship items sold , but do not relist anything - and am a powerseller and TRS, even though I am suspended on 2 other linked accounts - go figure

@JEM

On those non-suspended accounts do you list new items or sell similar?
