I think that the thread is stupidly becoming a slagfest.

Ha, that aside - yes the idea is sound but what can be done - paypal takes its cut on everything.

That's why they also offer discounted shipping if you use them to ship. Kind of forces you to do so...

If paypal didn't charge fees on shipping people would skirt the fees buy charging 5x shipping and selling item for a penny

And the fact is they charge for processing money, not on what you sell.

It always becomes a slagfest on there, still have no idea why people bother with it, as there is never any debate that does not seem to get destroyed by the storm troopers.

For me I don't think it is the fact that paypal charge fees, I think it is the fact of how much one company is taking through both ebay and paypal for a single service of selling an item when they deter the use of methods used to try and reduce those fees.
