Default eBay suspended, PayPal limited - then unlimited. I tricked the monkeys ..

I wrote in another thread how one of my eBay accounts got limited a few days ago. Well the PayPal account followed shortly after without me even trying to get the funds out. PayPal then emailed me and said the account was limited for 180 days because my eBay account was suspended, etc. The same old story.

I only had $100 something left in the account, not big money, but I still wanted to try and get it back. I then wrote PayPal back a small letter saying I didn't understand why I was limited and that I closed my eBay account myself, not suspended by eBay.

Went shopping last night and when I came back, I had an email from PayPal that my account access was restored. I immediately logged in, transferred the $100 out and just now the transfer changed from 'Pending' to 'Completed'.

I guess some PayPal monkey didn't even bother to check my account was suspended at eBay and went ahead to unlimit my PayPal account.

Its not a lot of money, sure ...but it seems I tricked a monkey this week! :D

Good trick if paypal has you by the balls but this could have been avoided if you didn't link the accounts.

Unfortunately sellers outside the US, Canada and some European countries all require your PayPal accounts to be linked to eBay to sell internationally.

BRAVO! You seem to have alot of luck with Paypal. GUess I'm still under the old mindset- whats MINE is MINE.. not paypals, so i guess I come across too defensive with them....

Definitely don't go at them angry or something. I always apologize every 2nd sentence, saying I didn't know this or that and that I would avoid doing that in the future, etc. Like if you can't provide tracking numbers, tell them that. Just say you didn't know and you will do it in the future. What seems to work is if you tell them that you will leave some money in there in the future and not always withdraw anything. Act as if you didn't know. Works for me so far.

HI- I understand, but how would you act with your local bank?? would you be apologizing for allowing them to let you get YOUR money out?? (I know we have to play the paypal game,, buts its a shame)-- it's OUR money, not theirs..

If I have to slide in their ass to get the money out, I would close my eyes and nose and do it.
