Default Should I? MC055 Please confirm your registration information

I have not been suspended but told this...

Keep in mind, this account is mostly used for buying. I am happy not to sell on it anymore but if anyone knows what questions I will be asked, that would be helpful

We want to help sellers be successful on eBay. In order to encourage behaviors that will result in success, we sometimes limit, restrict, or suspend activity on an account. When we do, the member needs to address and resolve any concerns that resulted in the limit, restriction, or suspension before buying or selling on any other accounts.

When we notice an association between accounts, and one of them is limited, restricted, or suspended, we may ask the member to confirm their identity. To determine if 2 accounts are connected, we may look at financial information, contact information, or buying and selling activity.

It looks like your account is associated with another, (*********). If you haven't already been asked to confirm your identity, you will be the next time you try to list an item. You don't need to contact us to confirm your information--the next time you try to sell, you'll begin the identity confirmation process.

If you see a message that says, "Congratulations, your identity has been confirmed!" after you go through the process, you've successfully confirmed your identity. If we're able to confirm your identity, you'll be able to sell on eBay again. If we're not able to confirm your identity, you'll be able to fax us some additional information.

If you know that the account is yours, you'll need to resolve all outstanding issues before contacting us. When any prior restrictions or suspensions on that account have been lifted, we'll be able to restore selling to your ********* account. Please note that if your account is new and your selling has been limited, we won't be able to increase your selling limit until you've established a reputation as a successful seller.
You can view more information on seller performance standards and effective selling practices here:

If we're not able to confirm your identity, you can fax us additional information that will help prove your identity. You should also be prepared to explain any connections you're aware of between these accounts. This is only necessary if you're sure that the account is not yours, and you can prove it. If you're able to provide us with the details that we need, we may also ask you to add information to your account to make it clear the accounts belong to different people. You'll find instructions for faxing us your detailed proof here:

I had the same thing happened. Except that they called 2 days later and I didn't answer then I got restricted where I couldn't sell more items but then my pay pal account got restricted too. Since it's stealth account and they wanted invoices, business info, ss#, address check...I had to let it go and refund everyone....

I got this same message like on 5 of my accounts. I listed something right away after reading it and it went up without a problem. I am expecting for the accounts to get suspended soon, so i am going to sell as much as I can before they get suspended.

Looks like they're linking your accounts?

Possibly a new way eBay is linking accounts? Do you guys have separate Windows user accounts?

Does anyone know what info they will ask for if I continue? Again, I mostly use this account for buying, I can go without selling again. I am just afraid they will come after me anyway.

usually 9 out of 10 times, you call in and they tell you they are going to ask you 3 questions about yourself, that they compiled all from public record.

You get them right= relist immediately

You get them wrong= must send in valid photo id

Okay, well again, I want to keep this account as a buyer account. Do you think I would be okay not doing any verification and stop selling?

I received the same message in one account. It is an account with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ datas, so I cant confirm any identity. I have used this account for buying as well as for selling. I tried to sell some things and everything worked but after trying to sell a vero item they blocked me.. I tried to make the steps for identification in order to see what they want to know, but I got a message, that ebay is unable to verify my identiy and I have to contact them. After klicking on contact ebay, I always got an error message. Is there anyone who has more experience with this ?

Default New tracking method?

Is it possible for ebay to be tracking connected accounts via the electronic return receipts from the credit card withdrawals?
Ebay is linking two accounts which have nothing in common, different physical locations, different IP's, different machines, different credit card types and (obviously) numbers... The only things in common are: same bank, same card holder name.

Any ideas?

No, your bank doesn't give out that information. Neither does your credit card. If you're linked, then it's got to be through flash cookies. Are you using separate Windows user accounts for each eBay account?

imjustme,

Thanks for your reply!
These accounts are on different machines, different IP's, different physical locations... The only thing in common is the name and the credit card issuing bank.
The reason I think it might be something related to the bank is that the only thing I did different before receiving the MC055 notice is withdrawing money to the credit card.
