Default I got a question

I just was reading some of the forum and found out that I could sell a computer and not really have it, (i just order one when receive the money from dell) well I did post a computer for sell and I have 2 offers of over 2,000 dollars) 1 is willing to pay through paypal and 1 will send a money order. My question is , is this legit. and how can I found out if they are really willing to buy?

sounds juicy. ah... the good old days... when you posted it for double the price and bought it for them direct. i used to do that on amazon. and buy it from amazon and send it as a gift to the buyer so they didn't know they paid double. it's totally legit. It's called supply and demand. they pay for it, you buy it for them. nothing criminal about that. it's called being the middle man. and people with lots of money are like that. the price is nothing to them. all they want is someone to send it to them what they chose to pay for an item.

"Where's the pride of ownership? Where's the personal service?" -- Bumpy Johnson (American Gangster 2007).

double or nothing I say...

:D

Unless you knew what you were doing, that's some high risk you're getting your self into. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. I would only accept a money order if I were you.

Money order is risky. Thats one thing I wouldnt accept. They ⊗⊗⊗⊗ money orders now...

But I would only accept a USPS money order becuase they can verify it on the spot

Lol, both are scams. Don't fall for it.

If you're not sure about the first one. Just think... chargeback.

I get this all the time. A person pays me with a STOLEN paypal account. I lose out on chargebacks.

llnair2006 and everyone else,

Just to show you how much of a scam this is, well , I emailed the buyer above. I told him the laptop is ready to be sent out as soon as I get the payment. He said okay and he told me the payment has been sent and to check my email

Oh oooooo guess what I got . A spoof Email confirming payment of $2500 into my Paypal account and that the money will be released as soon as I supply a tracking number.

Do you know how many people fall for this. ALOT!

I got the same thing from a buyer. Posing as PayPal with a @hotmail.com email address asking for a tracking number. I sent him a picture of a monkey.
