Can I still use my old account?
Here's the deal... I had two eBay accounts. One is like 6 years old and has thousands of feedback and is a powerseller, the other one is about a year old and got suspended for non-performance.
The newer account was suspended last month and I figured my old powerseller account would be suspended too (since they are linked with IP and cookies)... but it hasn't been suspended yet.
I haven't sold anything with my powerseller account (or even logged in) since the other one has been suspended.
Don't you think if I clear my cookies, change my IP address, and use a new laptop I will be fine? I mean at what point do they check to see if an account is related to a suspended account? Is it when you log in? If that's the case, having a new IP address would circumvent that. Or is it when you post a new auction?
It just doesn't make sense that they check EVERY single seller EVERY time they post an auction to see if they are linked to a suspended account. Maybe when you log into your account it quickly looks at the cookies and IP and checks to see if it's listed in the list of suspended users?
It's been a month and they haven't linked the two already... so am I in the clear?
I really want to use my old powerseller account because it's established and I have a lot of buyers who keep coming back to me.
