Default Odd Buyer Request

Some dude from Guam won something, bid the item double what it goes for, and says EB won't let him use their checkout. He says "give me your email and I'll pay you directly, I just did this for someone else."

Not really digging this. Should I let him pay me, or request money from him, or cancel transaction?

Sounds kinda fishy to me... but then again, I tend to be suspicious.

Guam can be troublesome. Had quite a few buyers claim the items never arrived in the post. Saying he paid double & making that sort of claim about dear old ebay would make me wonder about his motives.

Can you afford a loss? Have you google checkout or another option? What's his feedback like . If your guts dont like it, then there's the answer

Guam? Avoid. Cancel the transaction.
Heck, even puerto rico is a pain.

I agree with Saijin. Although I have never had a problem with Puerto Rico, both Guam and the US Virign Islands have been trouble spots.

I would only accept it if he paid as a gift, thus diminishing his ability to file a claim.

I would also instead send him a SERVICE invoice through paypal......he wont be able to file a claim against you and if he is serious about the purchase he will pay.....

Have him send payment via mass payment, so he is unable to open a dispute.
