Default eBay listing removed and user no longer registered. I'm the buyer.

This is a first...

I bought something on ebay for £85 and paid for it through PP on the 29th of Nov. I checked my purchased items today to see whether it's been shipped and it wasn't on the list at all. The seller deleted the listing and is no longer a registered user with ebay. I thought great, I've been scammed. I filed a claim with ebay on the phone.

Here's some info on the seller: 4390 feedback since 2007, 99.8% positive, registered as a business seller with ebay and last five or so positive feedbacks were from yesterday (Dec 1st). I can share the seller's ID if needed.

What I'd like to know is what it actually means for the buyer when the seller is registered as a business. And when ebay suspends your account do you get the *no longer a registered user* status or something else?

Thanks!

They couldn't have closed their account because he still had outstanding transactions. I guess they have been suspended, you should immediately try and reclaim your funds from PayPal. If you have used a CC then try and reverse the payment.

Thank you so much. I figured that they might have been 'ebayed'. I have a claim going already and if that doesn't work then I'm calling American Express.

Communicate with the seller - with a feedback like that, I highly doubt you have been scammed.

High quality sellers will respond to you shortly.

I couldn't contact them because they are no longer registered with ebay. I tried ebay, two of their e-mail addresses and a business phone number. No response.

Ah ok I hear you - best to err on the side of caution and follow your present course of action then.

The reason of such problem usually is that the seller was suspeneded by ebay.Try to contact your seller first. They do not want such problem happen to them too.

That person has been suspended, so contact Paypal and file "Item Not Received" with them to get your money back.
