Default Privacy Article - There Apparently is NONE...

Interesting article on privacy at CNN's website:

Who is really stealing your privacy? - CNN.com

More and more, I cannot stand the direction this country is going in. How did we, as the nation who is supposed to cherish our freedoms, allow this sort of thing to happen?

Just as Christmas is approaching, many of the unemployed will be losing their benefits since Congress apparently has no time to take it up for a vote. I don't care which side of the debate you are on, doesn't this at least deserve to be voted on?

I hear very little about any attempts by the government to help create new jobs. Granted, there is no magic bullet here, but they could at least try SOMETHING!

Instead, what super-important new laws were they working on passing? Must be pretty important stuff to ignore the economic situation, the deficit, our crumbling infrastructure, Social Security and Medicare...

How do frogs in a boiling pot allow the water to get so high as to cause them to pass out and boil themselves?

It happens very, very gradually over time, bit by bit, degree by degree, no one notices the temperature is rising until they are cooked.

The schools barely receive any funds anyhow, this money may be the kids field trip money or end of the year party money

Next we'll have to apply for a business license to hold a garage sale

Don't laugh. In one Chicago suburb you actually need a permit to have a garage sale...

The frogs in boiling water thing is actually a myth, but I do agree with the point you're making.
