This echeck is from your buyer's side - they must be paying from bank.

For instant payments using back... First of all it isn't instant.. What happens is paypal will give you a VERY small credit line and then ACK your bank 2-3 days later. When your "credit line" is up.. PayPal will stop funding the "instant bank transfer" till they collect money from your previous "instant payments".

I hope that makes sense to you.

Edit: It's like you make a check and paypal will pay the bill for you. Then 3 days later paypal will attempt to "cash" the check and get their money back. When you make too many checks, paypal will not pay the bill anymore and wait for the other checks you made to clear. After that the instant bank xfer will start again with a little more "credit line"....

Yup I think we may have found out why, because paypal are like paranoid cokeheads... The same thing happened to me except I was the one who refunded the buyer and boom no more instant xfers

That might have flagged it for no more instant xfers they probably thought you were a risk to pay back that cash

Mbrice I have the same issue with one of my accounts. When buying the only option I'm allowed now is echeck, when before I was allowed to used my credit card.

it goes to echeck when you have used up your backup funding cap.... after transactions go by you can increase the cap again.

I kind of understand what you mean, but I don't see how Paypal is giving me a credit line to use my own money. When I sent the money Paypal made money off the transaction by charging the recipient a fee. So why should it matter whether one uses an echeck or a credit card? If your talking about Paypal collecting INTEREST on the transaction that's a different topic.

It's always echeck... It's just that sometimes paypal picks up the tab till the check clears... I don't know what's so hard to understand about that.

Atomic, That's not true.. I did an instant bank transfer on my pp with real info a few months ago, and it was debited from my bank account immediately.

Lately it has only given me the option for echeck also.

I've had that same issue. For about 2 years I have been using my personal real info Paypal account to buy off of DHgate. My last order couldn't be completed because the credit card option was no longer available to me.

I then tried to use bank account info instead to purchase but Paypal 7 times declined that also even though I had hundreds more in bank account than what I was requesting. I kept getting error message that I did not have enough money in my Paypal account to pay for items. So it seems that I can't even pay through bank account. I went to Western Union to make transaction.

I had over 4 buyers yesterday want to buy an item so bad...and I said...pay via PP or my google checkout and pay and I will ship it.

They said no because when they buy that way...they are not protected??!?!
