BTW, nothing to do with EBAY. I sell my own inventions and collections.

Thank you

Well, first of all, if you are using a web stop, I would recommend you find a processor that accepts Pa yp al payments - no sense in getting tangled with Pa yp al and going through headaches like we see around the forum.

If you do decide to use Pp, selling your own inventions and collections could be deemed high risk depending exactly what is being sold and WHO will be buying (yes buyer's can cause problems on your account).

You plan to operate under your real name legitly? Then call up Pp and do the verification in advance - make the account strong. Tell them what you plan to sell etc.

Again, don't use Pp if you don't absolutely have to is my recommendation. The masses of Eb are just brainwashed with pp - although I will admit more people are getting aware ...slowly...

Thanks for your input.

What do you recommend to use instead of ppl?

Thanks

Now I will admit my knowledge is limited - payment processors that accept Pa yp al are like authorize.net and CCNow.

There is also other stuff like alertpay, nochex or something like that - Google "Merchant payment processors" - or go to your local bank and ask for their internet support payment division...but you would have to register your business.

My first two recommendations are simple although yes, their cuts are about 5% or so per transaction.

I would recommend Google Checkout if this is a random side business that isn't serious.

If it is serious I would look into a merchant account. Any merchant account is going to run you $20-$35/mo in minimum fees so this is not good for very low volume. You're not going to run into all the PP issues because a merchant account goes through a real bank.
