I don't the experience many others have here to give you a good answer, but I will say that if they are used instead of new you may be able to sell them sooner and with less problems with Ebay.
Also I would recommend NOT using Ebay's stock pictures of items like that, and take your own unique pictures of the actual item. My sense is that this would raise fewer red flags. Just my 2 cents.

You will get a much better price selling locally. Much better. Have you tried Kijiji? I use it to sell phones all the time. Great sale prices, cash, they pick up, no fees and the best thing, no PayPal holding, freezing money or eBay getting all in your face

well nokia's i got at my us mail fwding address and they are factory unlocked. so i can sell locally, but they sell much more overseas or in us.

and the iphones are locked to att. i did sell a few factory unlcoked phones from as low as 600 on kijji since i was desperate and had it listed for 750 for 2 months (800$ at apple store) and unlocking software is said to be released after 4.3 which would make it ready in april. so im interetsed in selling 2 or 3 since i got liek 10 in my drawer.

and i dont use stock photos, though i wanted to know since im uslly selling the same items. i used the same photos that i used with my old suspened one. problem?

Ya, I guess some phones will do much better overseas for sure. I have always got at least 50 to 100 more for my blackberries locally. But a different product I guess

Problem with those items is they are very high risk and big magnets for scammers. Both buying and selling. So it could cause trouble on accounts and you could also get targeted by scammers. You will need to be very careful with shipping and proof of delivery, signature

If they are new you wont stand a chance. If they are used it may be easier. But again, very high risk products so flag will go up. But we dont have SSN here, so thats a plus. So when limited you will need to be prepared with docs and receipts

I'm not going to weigh in on the steath aspect but I will say that if you chase the top dollar for your Apple stuff by letting International bidders (other than U.S.) bid on your listings you will almost surely lose in the long run. It's really simple math...you will be battling at some point with either a scammer, slow delivery, or some countries customs dept. that make your tear your hair out. Buyers will blame YOU for their own countries ineptness and buyers will want you to lie about the value, etc., etc.

yea i shipped an iphone to thailand before. and i was getting bitched at since it took like a month for delivery. and once he recieved it the phone was missing. i checked his feedback, he bought like 20 iphones, so customs stole it. and pp went in his favor and i was out 770$

Selling high end smart phones on eBay will be a nightmare you can bet on that. I would only use fast express shipping with full value, insurance and signature. They want the phone they will have to pay.
