Default PayPal account limited;if I do not do anything about it, will I get my funds in 180 d

They limited my PayPal account. I don't want to go through the painful appeal process.

What shall I do? I still have about 600 USD in it.

If I do not do anything about it, will they release the funds to my bank account in 180 days?

Best to send them a note saying you dont want to supply the info to get the ball rolling

Not acting can add some time to the 180 days. You want the "kiss off" email

Nah it's fine you can just wait the 180d and not do anything. I went through many accounts this way already and they just auto send you an email on the 180th day saying your funds are now eligible for withdrawl. For some reason on one account I didn't get this email. I just called in to PayPal and the agent gave me withdrawl access without any questions.

180days starts from day when account hit limit. After 180days you get email, saying your funds are eligible for withdrawl.

^^^ Thats not true, sorry. You have to get the parting ways email to start the clock

If you wait they will eventually release the funds, yes. But if you want the shortest time they have to tell you to hit the road first

After 3 weeks will gone 180days for my funds. If I not receive email exactly in this day(I need money how fast is possible), can I call Paypal and tell them 180days is gone? But this Paypal account is linked with ebay account, were is left negative feedback.

@pod, you sure about this? I just had a 180 day period finish after pa yp al had limited the account asking for docs - I even looked at the e-mail and yes, 180 days.

happy to see you jtaverner76, another Canadian!

I think US and Canada PayPal accounts are different? I remember once a Canada account was limited, and I tried to withdraw funds after 3 or 4 months, and I was successful. Maybe US laws are stricter than Canada laws, eh?

Maybe some US PayPal accounts will have the funds released earlier than 180 days as well.

Seen it both ways, so as a safety guard I think its best to push for the final limitation. I've had one that I never got the "you can withdraw" for 9 or 10 months. It has almost no money in it, but it was way over 180 days. Nothing is carved in stone with PayPal. But why chance they could add an extra few weeks or more, just get them to shut it down

No! Trust me I went through many PayPal accounts this way. The 180d limit starts on the day you get limited, not the day you get denied appeal. You do not need to do anything if you are willing to wait the 180d. It's all automatic. The email I get from PayPal that tells you your funds are now eligible for withdrawl is sent at virtually the same time on the clock that you get the "Notification of Limited Account Access" email from PayPal. In other words, it's EXACTLY 180d down to the minute. Well + or - one hour due to daylight savings.

It is dependent on each limitation. Not every account limited gets funds released at the end of 180 days.

For the most part, yes. But not always. Its PayPal, and they are nutty as all hell.

I have had accounts that the 180 days didn't start until parting ways email. And I had one that sat in limbo for awhile. A couple months if I recall. But that was a couple years ago, so as with everything PayPal things do change

Its a simple email to tell them you will not be supplying the info, so why not send it just to be sure
